When you go to Internet tab, you have an Internet IP address? If you do, then it's a software glitch. It's either you reinstall the firmware or do a factory reset on the router. It's not an issue with the Netgear firmware or software. This simply has got to do with your desktop/laptop firewall settings. The router is not able to contact the DHCP/DNS server of the ISP to check if it is active or not. So all you need to do is allow access for the router on the firewall to contact the ISP.
